A Tribute To NAMC - PI Mig-35 G1R Project

1/1/2021

Happy New Year 2021 to Builders and Flyers! May this year be a good year for us all, and bring joy, happiness as well as prosperous moments.

This very first day of 2021, we're initiating the Mig-35 project, in order to give a tribute to North American Mig Consortium or NAMC. Stephan Moran, Scott Challender and Dave Messina were three awesome people behind NAMC. They dedicated themselves into this hobby for years before NAMC was shutdown. And we at PI, honored their efforts as well as shared knowledge that have been enriching the joy of this scratchbuilding hobby.

Initiated by our member, Jim Soyak, we have started the Mig-35 G1R which is a rearmounted parkjet. We hope that it will fly as good as our other parkjet designs.

Stay stafe and stay healthy!

Looks awesome guys! What will the wingspan be on this one, any idea? Haven't built anything in over a year, but since you are going to the work of bringing this back as a rear mount, I might need to get busy cutting foam!

Cheers and a Happy and safe New Year to everyone at PI and their families!

Hey Scott!

Happy New and safe Year 2021 to you and your loved ones, too!

Thanks for dropping by and wrote a comment. We really miss the moments when there was NAMC stood next to RCP.

This baby would be having wingspan around 750mm and would carry 1,800mah 3S batt. One thing we love about rearmounted is its speed 😄 Jeff loves anything with speed. One of his built reached 100mph if I'm not mistaken.

I haven't built anything yet for a year as well. However, I accompanied a guy who I taught to build fictional F-181E Black Wasp II, a blend of F-18 and F-22. He managed to built half a dozen of it, to help him getting some cash as he lost his job. I may built some others as we have many designs already. I need to catch up with Jeff and Jim.

Take care, stay safe, stay healthy and stay tuned, my friend 😉

Cheers
bimo

Thanks Dave! ☺ We'd never come to this stage without any of your support, as well as Scott's and Stephan's.

Jim has started to construct the 1st prototype. Jeff will print the plan very soon.

On behalf of PI, thank you Atascocita.

It's been a bit slow for us all lately as we have delivered most of the awesome parkjets already. But, we're now finalizing another interesting project: MQ-28 Ghost Bat 😊
